Is political conspiracy of Anwar Ibarhim exploited by US?

The United States said Monday it would oppose any politically motivated investigation or prosecution of Anwar and hoped the accusations would not be a repeat of his 1998 trial.

“The main point for us is that the rule of law needs to stand above politics. And we would certainly oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures for anything other than legitimate purposes of the law,” US State Department spokesman Tom Casey was quoted by several news agencies as saying in a report from Washington.

Diplomatically, the US State Department’s strongly worded response to an ongoing police probe into a sodomy accusation against former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has apparently mischievous and unjustified. It seems to harbour prejudice against Malaysia and the disrespected manner should be condemned to the strongest degree.

The statement amounted to interference in Malaysia's internal affairs. The US interference in other's internal affairs and pressurizing under this or that pretext that cause the principle of justice impartiality is being seriously violated. The relationship between Kuala Lumpur and Washington exposed to a grave threat as US is one of Malaysia's largest trading partners.

Ironically, to establish a fair international order and maintaining good relationship is to respect the sovereignty of each country and nation. What is essential here is to strictly abide by the principle of non-interference in other's internal affairs.

Malaysia should resolutely oppose any country interfering in Malaysia internal affairs using the Anwar Ibarhim issue as an excuse. The Anwar Ibrahim issue completely belongs to Malaysia Internal affairs. There should be no interference in the internal affairs of Malaysia and Washington had better get their facts rights.

The objective and practice of Malaysia is to ensure all due process in the law is implemented fairly and nobody is ill-treated or threatened.

The great interest shown by US toward the sodomy case involving Anwar can’t be deemed as merely a “political conspiracy” behind a young aide’s accusation of homosexual assault.

The US strongly worded response suffices to discern relation between Anwar and the US as well as Zionist among the public. The thought had crossed the public minds as it is a well known fact that Anwar has a good friend, Paul Wolfowitz - ultra neocon Zionist, architect of the Iraqi invasion and the 10th President of the World Bank Group.

Although most of the public still in mass confusion, but they are trying to figure out the bigger picture of the story as the public wants to get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
