The uniqueness of mangrove ecosystems in defending coastal communities against the impacts of climate change and rich in biodiversity are vital on World Environment.

Mangrove forests provides spawning grounds and nurseries for numerous commercially valuable. The important habitat role is providing shelter for a wide variety of marine life such as shrimp, crabs, fishes and oysters which keep generations of species alive

Mangroves export nutrients and organic detritus in helping balance the soil salinity, form the base of a complex food web supporting estuarine, coastal, and some offshore fisheries.
