Undeniably, it is happening. Should the quality of Perdana Executive V6 be questioned, or otherwise as an excuse to buy a more expensive car or “something fishy” about the bills?

Proton Edar Dealers’ Association Malaysia (PEDA) said this in response to Terengganu state government’s decision to replace the Proton Perdana Executive V6 with Mercedes Benzes as official cars, citing high cost of maintenance and faulty gearboxes.
Association president Wan Ahmad Sepwan Wan Abd Rahman claimed there could be “something fishy” about the bills.
PEDA, which represents more than 180 dealers, said new Proton models are given full warranty for the first two years.
“We hope that there is a thorough investigation to ensure that the repairs were made by honest parties, and that the state government was not over-charged.
“Whatever it is, don’t insult Proton as an excuse to buy a more expensive car,” he said in a statement.
