ABDULLAH: BN GOVT TOO STRONG TO BE TOPPLED

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said, “Why should the government be toppled? This government is very strong. We have the support. We don't go around buying over people...Anwar can claim so many things. Let him claim whatever he wants.”

"I am aware that the opposition is trying to buy our MPs. Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday spoke of attempts by the opposition parties to topple the Barisan Nasional federal government by buying over some of its members of parliament.

The prime minister said he was aware of it but said this would not happen as the BN-led government was strong and would not be easily toppled.

The opposition parties, which jointly controlled 82 parliamentary seats, will be able to take over the federal government from BN if they gain another 30 seats.
